Day one of qualifying for the Indianapolis 500 started off under light rain which delayed the start of practice but it turned into a beautiful May day.  With the delayed start and with daylight savings time in affect the decided to qualify until 7pm. Running from 6pm to 7pm had me excited because I knew the light would be more ideal to capture something special.  In the evening the light is not as harsh and adding to that the shadows that are created from the light coming through the stands made the conditions right for some great images.
